Location of the GOLDEN SUNLIGHT MINE |
The Golden Sunlight mine is located in Jefferson County in southwestern Montana, 55 kilometers east of Butte and eight kilometers northeast of Whitehall.

|
History of the GOLDEN SUNLIGHT MINE |
Through the Placer Dome acquisition (after taking into
account the sale of assets to Goldcorp) we acquired
four producing mines in North America. The mines
acquired from Placer Dome are Cortez (60% owned),
Turquoise Ridge (75% owned) and Bald Mountain in
Nevada, and Golden Sunlight in Montana.

Geology of the GOLDEN SUNLIGHT MINE |
|
The property lies on the eastern flank of a fault-bounded mountain range known as Bull Mountain. The Proterozoic clastic sedimentary rocks in the mine vicinity were intruded by latite magmas during the Cretaceous Period.
