Tyhee
Gold Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC) (the "Company"), a late stage development
company, is pleased to announce that diamond drilling continues to expand the
Spud and Main Zone at Clan Lake.
"The results from the Main Zone (http://files.newswire.ca/550/1103_ClanDilling1a.jpg),
where mineralization continues to expand to the east, are very good as
identified in CL187 (12.0 metres (m) of 3.03
grams of gold per tonne (gpt)
including 6.0 m grading 5.54 gpt) "
reports Dave Webb, President & CEO of Tyhee
Gold Corp. " On the Spud Zone recent drilling provided apparent limits
to the southeast while, at the same time, delivering very good results to the
north and west (CL 048 (17.4 m of 1.57 gpt gold)
and CL052 (15.4 m of 2.53 gpt gold)). It
appears that the grade trails off once we are outside of the limits of
mineralization (as shown in CL177 and CL182), but we are not certain these
are hard limits or whether we have just identified a gap in the zone, which
continues beyond these holes."
Diamond drilling continues with two drills targeting 1) infill
drilling on the Ormsby Zone in a sparsely drilled
area of proven ore reserves between two proposed open pits, and 2) expansion
of the resources north and southeast of the probable ore reserves established
at Clan Lake, both defined by the Preliminary Feasibility Study.
Tyhee
Gold Corp. is developing its wholly-owned Yellowknife Gold Project within the
historic Yellowknife Gold Camp, NWT, Canada towards
production. It has 2 million ounces of gold in its Measured and Indicated
categories, over 800,000 ounces of gold in Proven and Probable Reserves, and
a positive Preliminary Feasibility Study. Applications to construct and
operate a 3,000 tonne per day mine and mill complex
have been submitted to regulatory authorities and Tyhee
is moving towards the final stages of this review process. Tyhee is currently drilling to expand the defined
resource at the Spud and Main Zones at Clan Lake, and at the Ormsby Zone.
Tyhee
completes fire assays on drill core samples using 30 gram aliquots with
ICP-ES finish for gold analyses, prepared at Acme Analytical Laboratories
Ltd. in Yellowknife, and finished at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd in
Vancouver. As well, a semi-quantitative multi-element analysis is run on 0.5
gm aliquot samples leached in a hot aqua regia
solution and measured using ICP-ES techniques. Tyhee
conducts a rigorous QA/QC program of inserting blanks and duplicates in the
field and standards in the laboratory. The laboratory also conducted their
own independent QA/QC program including inserting their own standards and
rerunning samples from pulped material and reject material. These results
were provided to Tyhee. All standards, duplicates,
blanks and check assays returned acceptable results. Mr. V. Pratico, P.Geol., the designated QP within the meaning of NI 43-101, has
reviewed this release and approves of its content.
