SUE ANN BROWDER #1 RE-COMPLETION COMMENCES
VANCOUVER, CANADA -- October 3, 2007 -- Horizon Industries Ltd.
(TSXV:HRZ), (Horizon), is pleased to announce the commencement of
re-completion operations at the Sue Ann Browder #1 Well at the New
Waverly Prospect located in San Jacinto County, Texas.
The operator, Pan American Production Company of Houston, Texas has
informed the Company that re-entry and re-completion of the Sue Ann
Browder #1 Well commenced yesterday. The Sue Ann Browder #1 is
situated on the recently acquired Elliott Lease forming a part of the
3,460 acre New Waverly Prospect. Based on interpretation of logs, the
objective is to test and develop the same formation found to be
productive in the Company's recently completed and tied-in Hammond #1
Well (See the Company's news release of October 1, 2007). This is the
second of up to forty-five proposed shallow wells being contemplated
for the New Waverly Prospect.
The New Waverly Prospect comprises approximately 3,460 acres.
Exploration potential exists in the Vicksburg/Jackson, Yegua, Cook
Mountain, Wilcox, and Woodbine formations. Initial activity is focused
on development of the shallower, lower risk Vicksburg/Jackson
formations with a view to first establishing strong underlying
production revenue and then proceeding to testing and developing higher
impact prospective targets in the Yegua and Wilcox formations.
Acquisition programs are underway to continue expanding the scope of
this prospect.
