Second Thailand Project Delivers Venture another Zinc Discovery
Loei Belt, Thailand
ASX Announcement Wednesday, 13 April 2016 Ref: /VMS/606/VMS0381
Venture Minerals Limited (ASX code: VMS), is pleased to announce that the Company's maiden soil sampling and mapping program at Pak Yang (Refer Figure One) has identified a large zinc system extending over two kilometres of strike. This latest discovery follows a series of exploration successes at the Company's other granted Thailand project, Thali, where Venture has now identified multiple precious and base metal drill targets extending over 5.5km of strike.
The new discovery at Pak Yang was the result of a surface sampling program targeting a sequence of metasediments, felsic porphyries and stockwork-veined granitoids, which are widely associated with base and precious metal deposits within the Loei Belt. The initial program identified anomalous zinc and lead, using portable XRF, with zinc values peaking at 850ppm in soils (Refer Figure Two).
Having identified the new base metal system at Pak Yang, Venture will now focus on extending known surface mineralization and completing a detailed geological mapping and rock chip sampling program to assess the potential of the system.
In addition to the work at Pak Yang, the Company is currently finalising details of a maiden drill program for Thali, where surface sampling has already recorded rock chips assays of 1,860g/t silver, 27% lead and 57.7g/t gold (Refer to ASX announcement 30 March 2016).
This latest discovery at Pak Yang has further validated Venture's South East Asian Initiative which has seen the Company acquire exploration ground in the highly prospective Loei Belt in north- eastern Thailand. The Loei Belt already hosts a number of world class copper and gold deposits including Kingsgate's "Chatree" deposit (+5Moz Au*) and PanAust's "Phu Kham" deposit (1.3Mt Cu, 1.8Moz Au*) (Refer Figure One).
In addition to Pak Yang and Thali, Venture has a number of other areas under application which are prospective for both base and precious metals. The Company intends to advance these prospects once granted tenure has been received.

Pak Yang Prospect - Geology
Venture's preliminary geological mapping of the Pak Yang base metal project suggests the area is underlain by a mainly north striking sequence of metasedimentary rocks, intermediate to felsic porphyries and stockwork-veined granitoids similar to Venture's nearby Thali base metals project. Regional scale geological mapping suggests the host sedimentary rocks are of Permian-Triassic age, and the granitic intrusions of Triassic age; the Triassic granitoid suite is widely associated with base and precious metal deposits within the Loei Belt.
