The post office at Globe was opened in 1877 and the town was laid out in 1876. The first discoveries were made in 1873.

The share certificate was printed by The Mining Record Lithograph Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of a group of working miners in middle with arched title on beneath. This certificate was signed by M.L. Earl as vice-president and Hill as secretary.
