Trade Wars |
An overt trade war has commenced. President Trump has fired the starting gun, setting in motion an election promise, part of his Make America Great Again undertaking. It is a blow squarely aimed against China, costing China some trade perhaps, but basically a loser’s last roll of the dice. The back story appears to be far deeper than some relatively minor tariffs on steel and aluminium would suggest. It comes after a prolonged period of shadow-boxing between America in the blue corner and Russia Friday, March 9, 2018 |

Trump's Tariffs Are a Tax on Americans |
On Thursday March 1, the Trump administration announced plans to impose 25% tariffs on imports of steel and 10% tariffs on imports of aluminum. The US President is of the view that without the required protection, the US steel and aluminium industries are likely to follow the deteriorating path and this in turn will undermine the US labor market. The steps announced by the US President raises the likelihood of a global trade war. President Trump seems to believe that war is great and that the US wTuesday, March 6, 2018 |

AS SISYPHUS FAILS GOLD WILL ASCEND |
Welcome to 2018 – a year that will be the culmination of at least 105 years of mismanagement of the Western financial system by governments, central bankers and the elite.
2018 will be a year of major volatility in many markets. Stocks are now in a melt-up phase and before the major bear markets start in virtually all countries around the world, we are likely to see the final exhaustion moves which could be substantial. The year will also be marked by inflation increasing a lot faster than expecFriday, January 12, 2018 |

Trump Wants a “See-Through Wall”: He Will Choose the Design Personally |
Trump wants a “great wall” on the US-Mexican border that Mexico will pay for.
A new wrinkle is the wall must be see-through so we can see who is on the other side.
Trump will personally select the design.
CNN reports ‘You don’t need it all the way’ and other things Trump said about ‘the wall’ on Friday.
President Donald Trump assured a crowd in Alabama Friday night that “the wall is happening.”
Here are some of the more notable comments the President made during his speech regarding the construSunday, September 24, 2017 |
