TRI ORIGIN ACQUIRES ADDITIONAL LAND, SKY LAKE GOLD PROJECT, PICKLE LAKE, ONTARIO

Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. (TSX-V: TOE) (?Tri Origin? or the ?Company?) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a joint venture, earn-in option agreement with Manicouagan Minerals Inc (?Manicouagan?) to acquire a 51% interest in two claims comprising Manicouagan?s Matapesatakun Bay property located 30 kilometres southwest of Pickle Lake, Ontario.

Tri Origin?s Sky Lake property covers part of an extensive and well-mineralized greenstone belt and lies midway between the past-producing gold deposits of the two million ounce Pickle Lake Gold District to the northeast and the Golden Patricia gold mine to the west.  A number of gold occurrences hosted by iron formation and pyritic, felsic volcanic rock have been identified on Tri Origin?s claims which exhibit similar characteristics to producing gold mines located elsewhere in the Canadian Shield.  The option of the Matapesatakun claims now gives Tri Origin coverage of these two important gold-bearing rock types for over 20 kilometres in length across the property.

To date, Tri Origin has conducted preliminary geochemical and geological programs at Sky Lake and will continue to delineate drill targets in preparation for drilling programs anticipated to be conducted later this year.

The two optioned claims are located at the central part of Tri Origin?s 50 square kilometre Sky Lake property.  The option agreement has a three year term and upon exercise of the option by Tri Origin, the two parties agree to enter into a joint venture to continue exploring the Sky Lake property.  The joint venture will be structured according to industry standard terms.
