HALIFAX, NS December 17, 2007 – In accordance with regulatory requirements, Wade K. Dawe reports that as a result of purchases on the TSX Venture Exchange of 127,500 shares of Linear Metals Corporation (LRM.V) over the preceding two weeks, his security holdings constitute in excess of 10% of the total outstanding securities of the company.

Mr. Dawe presently beneficially owns, or exercises control or direction over, 3,911,624 common shares and vested stock options representing approximately 10.3% of the issued and outstanding share capital of Linear Metals Corporation, if all vested stock options held by Mr. Dawe were exercised.

Mr. Dawe holds the common shares and stock options for investment purposes, and his investment in the securities of Linear Metals Corporation will be reviewed on a continuing basis. Mr. Dawe may purchase additional securities of the company in the future.
