Heritage Oil Plc (News - Market indicators)(LSE:HOIL), an independent upstream exploration and production company, is delighted to announce the appointment of Carmen Rodriguez as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
Ms. Rodriguez brings extensive experience in international finance, investment, advice and relations. She is currently a board member of the Spanish Committee of the UNRWA and the Plan Espãna Foundation. Ms. Rodriguez has most recently held the position of Chairperson and CEO (from 2007 to 2012) of Sociedad Estatal Española P4R, S.A., a Spanish government owned consultancy firm specialising in foreign trade, investment and cooperation. She was also, until recently, a trustee of the Spain-China Council Foundation, the Spain-India Council Foundation and Casa Arabe. She has previously held many other senior executive positions including at commodities trading companies.
Ms. Rodriguez was awarded the prestigious Órden de Isabel la Católica by King Juan Carlos of Spain in 1990, in recognition of her services to the Spanish people and work with the international community.
Ms. Rodriguez will be replacing Salim Macki who has retired as a Non-Executive Director from the Board with immediate effect. Ms. Rodriguez will replace Mr. Macki on both the Audit and Remuneration Committees.
Mr. Macki has served on the Board since August 2008 and has decided to retire for personal reasons.
