Jakarta, April 12, 2016 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ANTAM; ASX - ATM; IDX - ANTM) announce that the company continue expanding gold business in cooperation with PT PEGADAIAN (Persero) (PEGADAIAN). ANTAM together with PEGADAIAN has been signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding to corporate business synergies on Sunday 10 April 2016 in Senayan, Jakarta.
ANTAM's President Director, Tedy Badrujaman, said that:
' After success on 2015 gold sales, ANTAM continue to expand gold business in 2016. This cooperation also aimed to improve gold production and sales performance as well as supporting the Government in order to increase synergy among state companies. '
The scope of collaboration between ANTAM and PEGADAIAN is to increase sales and distribution of ANTAM's LBMA certified precious metals which represent guarantee and quality of 99,99% gold and also to improve mutual support between the companies. ANTAM believe with this collaboration would support the company's gold business. In addition, PEGADAIAN received the guarantee of gold supply and distribution velocity to customer.
Previously ANTAM has been opened 13 gold boutique located in Jakarta (2 outlets), Bandung, Surabaya (2 outlets), Makassar, Palembang, Semarang, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Medan, Denpasar and Yogyakarta. ANTAM perform innovation in order to provide good public services by launching gold with batik motifs and gold depository services.
