Jakarta, December 1, 2014 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ASX - ATM; IDX - ANTM; ANTAM) is pleased to announce that the company receives the 2014 Indonesian CSR Award in the field of Human Rights; Customer; Environment, and Community Involvement and Development. ANTAM also received the Best CEO Award at the event. The awards were presented on November 28, 2014 at Balai Kartini, Jakarta.
ANTAM's 2014 Indonesian CSR Awards were the second time to be awarded to ANTAM. The event is held every three years. The Best CEO recognition was based on the overall sector/category of the 33 competing companies. ANTAM also received Platinum award in the field of Human Rights for its Discrimination Prevention on Vulnerable Community Groups program; Platinum award in the field of Customer for its Data Protection and Customer Privacy Program; Gold award in the field of Environment for its Environment Protection Program; Gold award in the field of Customer for its Customer Satisfaction Program; Gold award in the field of Community Involvement and Development for its Income and Wealth Improvement Program; and Silver award in the field of Community Involvement and Development for its Education and Cultural Program.
During the event, ANTAM submitted various CSR activities which were implemented at the operating unit level. These programs were, among others, Discrimination Prevention and Vulnerable Community Groups Empowerment program at 16 villages in the Town of Maba and Maba Districts of East Halmahera Regency of North Maluku Province; Data Protection and Customer Privacy program at ANTAM's Retail Gold Outlets; Biodiversity Improvement and Natural Habitat Recovery program through the implementation of the Master plan of Biodiversity Conservation Centre of ANTAM's Cluster and the Master plan of the Biodiversity Conservation Centre at the Halimun-Salak Mountain National Park; and the LBMA Certification on Gold Bars products for Customer Satisfaction.
