15 July 2008 News release Kent Exploration APPLIES FOR ADDITIONAL 43,776 Ha of COAL DISPOSITION Permits. Kent Exploration Inc (the ?Company?) reports it has applied to Saskatchewan Energy and Resources for Coal Disposition Permits on an additional 43,776 hectares of ground northwest of Hudson Bay. Of the new permits applied for, 6,912 ha abut the eastern edge of the 18,432 ha for which the Company has already received comfort letters from Saskatchewan Energy and Resources. This claim group also abuts the eastern portion of North American Gem?s claim group which contains the ?Adamas? discovery, where in 2007, Adamas discovered a coal seam that graded sub-bituminous A quality coal over four meters in the Cretaceous rock (Mannville group rocks) sequence containing coal similar to the Goldsource coal discovery. The balance of the claim groups applied for lie immediately to the north of Montreal Lake where historic coal intercepts have also been reported. The Company has now filed and fully paid for 124 Coal Disposition Permit Applications totaling 94,464 ha (approximately 233,424 acres or 364 square miles) which are pending with Saskatchewan Energy and Resources. All the applications have been made in accordance with all the rules and regulations set forth by the government of Saskatchewan's permitting office. As with all other companies applying for coal dispositions in Saskatchewan, the Company has its applications and coal prospecting permits subject to the Saskatchewan government's approval process. The standard issue comfort letter states, "The extent to which the land described in these applications can be issued has not been investigated, and therefore this letter should not be construed as an indication that any land will be issued, as a full review is still to be completed." Historical data and reports suggest that coal is present to the north edge of the Cretaceous rock sequence up to the shores of Wapawekka Lake to the north of the Adamas discovery. These reports further suggest that the Wapawekka outcrop is likely associated with a larger deposit to the south. The Adamas intercept is directly south of Wapawekka Lake along the low-lying basin adjacent to the southeast of the Narrow Hills uplands. The recent discovery by Goldsource Mines of bituminous coal in two drill holes 1,600 metres apart in a low-lying basin southeast of the adjacent uplands at Pasquia Hills to the southeast of the Narrow Hills intercept, confirms the regional potential for coal deposits and suggests the potential for a much larger coal system. The Goldsource discovery at Pasquia is roughly 80 to 100 kilometres southeast of the Narrow Hills. Both have similar topographical features and are in the same Cretaceous rock sequence. *********************************************************************** Kent Exploration Inc is a junior exploration company that has a 100% interest in a mining lease option on the Flagstaff Mountain property, a gold/silver/zinc/barite prospect in eastern Washington state, is earning a 100% interest in the Rosebud property, a gold/silver prospect in northern Arizona, has earned 50% of a 100% interest in the mining lease option on the Ivanhoe Creek property, a Midas-style gold/silver target and 50% of a 100% interest in the Ivanhoe Creek placer claims, covering a bentonite deposit in Nevada?s Carlin Trend, and has a 100% option on the Silver Hills property, a silver/ lead/ zinc prospect in south-eastern British Columbia.
