Appointment of Metallurgy Executive
Peak Resources Limited ("Peak" or "the Company"; ASX Code: PEK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gavin Beer as General Manager of Metallurgy. Mr. Beer who has been consulting to Peak since April 2012 and has been instrumental in the development of the Company's low Capex and Opex metallurgical flow sheet will now join the Company as an Executive on a permanent basis and work exclusively for Peak in relation to rare earths processing and metallurgy.
Mr. Beer has more than 25 years of experience in technical and operational roles in the mining industry. He is a Chartered Professional and a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He is qualified as a Competent Person for both JORC and NI 43-101 reporting with respect to his metallurgical expertise. Since 2007 Mr. Beer has worked almost exclusively on rare earth projects. From 2007 until 2011 he was Manager of Metallurgy for Arafura Resources where he was responsible for flow sheet development, pilot and demonstration plant programs from beneficiation to separated rare earth oxide products. Since 2011 as a consultant Mr. Beer has been responsible for flow sheet development of eight Rare Earth projects worldwide and is recognized as one of the world's preeminent metallurgical experts in the Rare Earth industry.
