Tara Minerals Corp. (OTCBB: TARM) (BERLIN: 6T3) is pleased to
announce the formal appointment of Mr. Steve Eady as
the Company's Chief Geologist and Mr. Tom Claridge as
Senior Mining and Plant Engineer.
Mr. Eady is an accomplished geologist and
has been working in mining since 1973. His past experience includes
mineralogy, geology, ore reserve development, leach
testing, feasibility studies and geological related development research. He
has worked in the past for Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company, and
on numerous exploration and development projects at Phelps Dodge Mining
/Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc.
Mr. Eady commented, "I have been
familiar with the Tara projects since May 2011. The Choix, Mexico district looks currently like the Morenci,
Arizona mining district looked 100 years ago, which is one of the
largest districts in the world today. Tara has recognized the potential of
this district early and has been accumulating a great pipeline of
production-focused projects. I have worked in some large-scale mining
projects around the world and after having reviewed Tara's projects, I am
excited at the opportunity to be a part of the future of mining in Choix. I am especially excited to be able to work with Tom
Claridge, as well as the existing Tara
Minerals team."
Mr. Claridge is an accomplished project
manager with over 20 years of experience in mine operations, plant design,
and water treatment all over the world. His experience includes mineral
resource evaluations, conceptual and feasibility reports, metallurgical test
programs, economic evaluations and mine and process development of
engineering projects for major and junior mining companies. His past
employers include Hanlon Engineering & Architecture Inc. and
Phelps Dodge Mining / Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc.
Mr. Claridge commented, "Tara gives me
the opportunity to combine my various technical and management skills to
advance multiple projects from acquisition to commercial production. It takes
teamwork and focused execution to successfully transfer value from
mineralized structures to the bottom line. I am proud to be here contributing
to make that happen, along with our entire Tara team. I look forward to
working with Tara for the benefit of all shareholders. I'm excited to be able
to continue to work with Mr. Eady, with whom I have
a long working history and who I highly respect."
Mr. Francis Biscan Jr., President of Tara
Minerals Corp., commented, "It is because of our projects that we have
been able to attract world class talent such as Mr. Eady
and Mr. Claridge. I am privileged to welcome an
action oriented team with a singular focus -- enhance shareholder value
through extraction of minerals."
