Uranium North Resources Appoints Vice President Of Exploration

VANCOUVER, September 23, 2008 - Uranium North Resources Corp. (TSX-V:
UNR) announces the appointment of Dr. Allan E. Armitage as Vice
President of Exploration. Allan will lead Uranium North's exploration
team and manage the Company's exploration programs in Nunavut and
Saskatchewan.
As a professional geologist with over 20 years experience both
internationally and in Canada, Allan most recently held the position as
Vice President of Exploration for Triex Minerals Corp., where he
oversaw and implemented uranium exploration programs predominantly in
Nunavut and Saskatchewan. In addition, he has held senior exploration
positions with Comaplex Minerals Corp. and Commander Resources Ltd.
with a strong focus in Nunavut.
Discovery oriented, he was actively involved in developing geological
and resource models for the Meliadine gold deposit and Mountain Lake
uranium deposit both located in Nunavut. Allan also played a
significant role in the discovery of gold mineralization at the Cabello
Blanco deposit in Mexico and at the Zopilote gold deposit in Honduras.
His experiences range from grass roots to advanced exploration.
"With over two decades of exploration experience, Allan brings a high
degree of expertise in modern exploration techniques, quality control
and northern experience. He will be a great asset to our team as we
move forward with our discovery programs," says Mark Kolebaba,

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario's Ph.D. program
(Geology) (Ph.D.- 1997) Allan has written numerous geological reports
since 1988. A member of the Association of Professional Engineers,
Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) he is considered a
Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101.
