Brett's 2007 Drilling at Hammond Reef Confirming Potential to
Expand Resource
======================================================================
Brett Resources Inc. (TSX Venture Exchange -- BBR) is pleased to report
the results from initial 2007 drilling at the Hammond Reef Project near
Atikokan, Ontario. In-fill and extension drilling at 50 m spacing of
the previously outlined A Zone and 41 Zone is providing encouraging
results, proving good continuity from section to section and down dip
in these broad, shallow dipping, gold mineralized zones. Brett is
earning a 60% interest in the Hammond Reef property from Kinross Gold
Corp. by spending US $5 million on exploration over four years and
issuing one million shares to Kinross over the same period. After
Brett vests, Kinross will have a one time opportunity to back in for
60% of the Project by spending the next US $5 Million (see News Release
of March 1, 2006 for a more complete description of the agreement).

Results have been received for the first 8 holes, BR-12 to BR-19, from
the winter drilling program initiated in mid-January 2007. Drilling is
now progressing on both the A zone and the 41 zone with two rigs fully
operational. Highlights of these initial holes include 84 metres of
1.05 g/t gold and 43.5 metres of 1.37 g/t gold in the A zone, and 27
metres of 1.39 g/t gold and 43.5 metres of 1.23 g/t gold in the 41
zone. The significant intervals (above a 0.3 g/t Au cut-off) are
summarized in the table above.
These results are the first holes from a planned 2007 drill program of
70 holes totaling 15,000 metres. The program is designed to provide
sufficient drill density to complete a NI 43-101 conformable resource
calculation, as well as to increase the resource base substantially in
order to evaluate the potential for a large low grade open pit gold
deposit.
A series of holes have commenced on Mitta Lake to define the eastern
portion of the A Zone, and to investigate the Mitta Gap, located
between the A zone and the 41 Zone. A total of 11 holes are planned on
the lake this winter.
The Company utilizes industry best practices in quality control and
