Brodeur Project Update
Vancouver, B.C. - Diamondex Resources Ltd. (DSP-TSX.V) ("Diamondex") is pleased to provide Diamond results from the caustic fusion of 3,068 kg of kimberlite recovered during the core drilling program completed within the Tuwawi, Nanuk and Kuuriaq target areas in 2007 at Diamondex's Brodeur project in Nunavut. (See www.diamondex.net for project location, drill plan and photos.)
Twelve inclined and vertically oriented tests totaling 1,336 meters of Diamond drilling were undertaken to better define the geometry of the Tuwawi kimberlite body. In all, a total of 2,873 kg (dry laboratory weight) of hypabyssal, fine to medium grained macrocrystic kimberlite was analyzed for microdiamonds by the caustic fusion process. Table 1 lists the sieve data for the 592 diamonds recovered.

The largest stone recovered, 0.237 carat, is described as an intact transparent dodecahedron with dimensions of 4.35 x 4.10 x 2.10 mm. The second largest stone is a fragmented transparent dodecahedron with dimensions of 4.24 x 2.60 x 1.70 mm and a weight of 0.144 carat.
Modeling of the microdiamond results indicates that the stone size versus the cumulative grade plot compares favorably with the results Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. (KCEI) reported from their 1,521 kg sample from the Tuwawi kimberlite in 2003 and 2004 (18.66 cpht vs. 20.68 cpht). However, it is also significant that the statistical curves indicate a larger sample would yield larger diamonds as well as a higher grade.
At the Nanuk kimberlite cluster, 1,600 metres west-southwest of Tuwawi, six geophysical targets distributed over an area of 2.9 hectares were tested by eight drill holes. Four separate kimberlite bodies were intersected, with 78 kg of kimberlite collected for microdiamond analysis (Table 2). Previous sampling of kimberlite float from Nanuk had indicated relatively high microdiamond contents (see news release dated May 30, 2007).

Kuuriaq is a 4 km long array of kimberlite occurrences extending from an area about 2.8 km west of the Tuwawi kimberlite to the Katigia kimberlite dyke, 2 km due north of Tuwawi. Near the southwest end of Kuuriaq, kimberlite was discovered by three drillholes at two separate targets, but fine-grained kimberlite from these occurrences is weakly diamondiferous to barren (Table 3). In the northeast portion of the Kuuriaq corridor, the Katigia kimberlite dyke was represented by a previously untested magnetic lineament. Drilling successfully intersected kimberlite on this magnetic lineament at two locations separated by 260 metres and about 500 metres northeast of the Katigia outcrop area (Table 4).

Kimberlite cores sampled in the field were securely contained and shipped to Kennecott's Mineral Processing Laboratory in Thunder Bay, Ontario, for caustic fusion processing and Diamond recovery. KCEI's laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 for specific registered tests. The samples were processed according to registered methods and standard operating procedures.
Exploration Summary and Future Plans
The 2007 exploration program consisted of ground geophysics, till and stream sediment sampling and Diamond drilling. A total of 700 line kilometres of ground magnetics were completed over 18 ground grids that encompassed an area of approximately 20 square kilometres.
In addition to the ground geophysics, a total of 512 till and stream sediment samples were collected over the project area. Overburden Drill Management Ltd. of Ottawa, Ontario has processed and delivered over 80% of the heavy mineral concentrates to Diamondex's mineralogical staff for kimberlite indicator mineral picking. It is expected that all samples will be picked within the next 6 weeks.
Diamondex is currently planning its 2008 and 2009 field programs for the property. Priority initiatives being evaluated include:
- Contemplation of a mini bulk sample for the Tuwawi kimberlite
- Drill testing of the Tuwawi Deep target
- Drill testing of high priority geophysical anomalies located outside of the known kimberlite corridors
- Follow-up till sampling, on the eastern half of the property, to locate sources of kimberlite indicator mineral anomalies
The Brodeur Project is centered on the northern half of the Brodeur Peninsula of Baffin Island. Diamondex is earning a 100% interest in the property, subject to an underlying Property Acquisition Agreement with Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. The property comprises 211,216 acres covering 82 claims and hosts three known Diamond bearing kimberlite bodies: Tuwawi, Nanuk, and Kuuriaq.
David Clarke, P.Geol., MSc., Senior Vice President of Exploration for Diamondex Resources Ltd. is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and is responsible for program design and quality control of exploration undertaken by Diamondex Resources Ltd.
