Lero completes 1,879m Diamond drilling at the
Karchiga VMS project, North East Kazakhstan

Lero Gold Corp. (�Lero�, or the �Company�) (TSX-V:LER) announces the completion of 1,879m (21 holes) of Diamond drilling at its Karchiga volcanogenic massive sulphide project in Kazakhstan.

Both infill drill holes on the known zones and exploration drill holes to expand the known mineralisation were completed during Q4 2007. Samples have been submitted to the laboratory for analysis and results will be released once all have been received. An additional 600m of drilling, to complete the budgeted 2,500m programme, will be completed during Q2 2008.

President and CEO of Lero, Nick Clarke commented:
�On receipt of assay results, Lero will commence modelling and re-interpretation of the mineralised zones to calculate a 43-101 compliant inferred resource. Results are also expected to validate historic results from the Karchiga central zone and to test the lesser explored Karchiga North East.�
