URACAN DISCOVERS NEW MINERALIZED ZONE AT TJ ZONE AND ADDITIONAL WIDE URANIUM MINERALIZATION AT LAC PETIT, NORTH SHORE PROPERTY, QUEBEC

Vancouver, Canada � Uracan Resources Ltd. (the �Company�) is pleased to announce that the ongoing exploration program on the North Shore Uranium Property is continuing to discover wide new zones of uranium mineralization at surface on the Turgeon Lake Intrusive Complex (TLIC), part of the 1,075 Km2 North Shore Uranium Property in Quebec.

The TJ Zone discovery follows wide intercepts of uranium mineralization at the main Double S zone, Middle Zone, Lac Petit, and Johan Beetz zones. Management intends to expand all these zones with more drilling this year. The TJ and Middle Zones occur within the main Double S trend.

A new area of wide uranium mineralization was encountered at the TJ Zone within the Double S trend. The TJ Zone is three kilometers northwest of the main Double S zone and 1.4 kilometers northwest of the Middle Zone mineralization previously announced in the April 28th 2008 news release. Please refer to the Uracan Resources Ltd. website www.uracan.ca for maps and drill holes outlining the locations of the various mineralized zones.

Mineralization in the overall Double S trend and Lac Petit zone of the North Shore Property continues to occur in multiple stacked mineralized zones hosted by granites and pegmatites, with drilled widths and grades of up to 95.2 meters of 0.016% U3O8.

A total of 12,192 meters of drilling in 59 Diamond drill holes was completed during the winter drilling campaign. Results for the majority of the winter 2008 drilling has been received by Uracan from the assay laboratory.

TJ Zone

A total of 1,400 meters of Diamond drilling in 7 holes was completed on the TJ zone during the winter program. Multiple mineralized zones were encountered in the drilling, with up to 95.55 meters grading 0.015% U3O8 encountered in TJ-08-02, 32 meters of 0.012% U3O8 in TJ-08-01 and 31.4 meters of 0.010% U3O8 in TJ-08-04. Up to 5 discrete mineralized zones were noted in several of the drill holes, indicating a stacked sequence of mineralized pegmatite and granite bodies exist at the TJ zone, potentially an extension of the mineralization noted at the Double S zone.

The TJ zone has had historic mapping and surface sampling completed on it, but no drilling was carried out on this zone prior to the 2008 winter drill program. The winter 2008 drilling was carried out on widely spaced drill sites. A follow up program of detailed surface mapping and Diamond drilling is planned for this new discovery area to better define the nature and extent of mineralization.

Lac Petit

1,226 meters of drilling in 6 holes was completed on the Lac Petit zone to follow up drill results from the winter 2007 program (previously released). The program was aimed at better defining the orientation and extent of mineralization in this area.

95.2 meters of 0.016% U3O8 was encountered in LP-08-04, the thickest intercept of mineralization encountered at Lac Petit to date. Multiple stacked zones of mineralization were noted in many of the drill holes. Detailed mapping and ground geophysics is planned this summer to better define the nature of the controls of uranium mineralization at the Lac Petit zone.

Uracan has now outlined a mineralized zone at Lac Petit over an area roughly 800 metres long by 200 metres wide. Mineralization remains open along strike and down dip, with the uranium mineralization hosted by a sequence of pegmatites and granites.

Middle Zone

4,539.5 meters in 21 Diamond drill holes was completed on the Middle Zone during the winter drill program. Results from the initial 14 drill holes were previously released (see Uracan�s April 28th, 2008 news release for further information on these earlier results).

Drill Results Summary

2008 Summer Exploration Program

Uracan has commenced its summer 2008 exploration program. An additional 10,000 meters of Diamond drilling on the Double S, TJ and Middle zones, along with a program of detailed mapping, sampling and ground geophysics to better define controls on mineralization on the property. Reconnaissance mapping and sampling will be undertaken on other areas of the property which have received little or no previous exploration to outline additional drill targets.

QA/QC

Samples were shipped by company personnel in sealed containers to ALS Chemex Laboratories of Val D�Or, Quebec for analysis. ALS Chemex is the laboratory facility used for all assays from the North Shore Property program. Samples are weighed and catalogued before sample preparation. A QA/QC program was implemented as part of the sampling procedure for the drill program. Field duplicates and field blanks were inserted into the sample stream with at least one blank and one duplicate inserted per group of 40 samples sent to the laboratory.
