VANCOUVER, B.C. -- Magnum Uranium Corp. ("Magnum") is pleased to announce the discovery of a sizable radon anomaly at its Marysvale Uranium Property located in the historic Marysvale Uranium District, Piute Co., Utah. The anomaly was delineated during a soil-gas radon survey conducted in August 2007 by StrataModel, Inc. The anomaly defines an 800 to 850-foot-wide by 1,570-foot-long coherent zone that strikes N30W and indicates untested subsurface uranium mineralization. The area covered by this anomaly is approximately 22 acres and lies in the central portion of Magnum's claim block at the southern end of the core of the historic Marysvale Uranium District. Approximately 1.8 million pounds of uranium were produced from the core of the District at an average production grade of 0.075% U3O8.
The strength of this anomaly is significant in that 7 of 11 sample sites contain greater than 6 standard deviations of tracks per hour. The tracks had to be manually counted as the results generated from the radon gas survey exceeded the mechanical counters capability. Magnum plans on drilling six (6) holes to test this anomaly during the upcoming 2008 field season.
