DRILLING RESTARTS AT NORTH SHORE PROPERTY, QUEBEC

VANCOUVER, May 30, 2007- Uracan Resources Ltd. (the Company) is pleased to announce that diamond drilling on the North Shore Property in Quebec has restarted after spring breakup. The continuing drill program will focus on following up drill results from the Double S area of the property, where two drill holes (SS-07-22 and SS-07-23) encountered significant near surface uranium mineralization. These results include 29 meters of 0.04% U3O8 within a 124 meter zone grading 0.025% U3O8 in SS-07-23 along with 13.5 meters of 0.024% U3O8 within a 96.7 meter zone grading 0.013% U3O8 in SS-07-22. Please refer to the May 17th 2007 news release for more details on the drill results from the North Shore Property.

Drilling will initially focus on deepening drill holes SS-07-22 and SS-07-23, both of which finished in strong uranium mineralization. This will be followed by step out drill holes to determine the strike and depth potential of the Double S mineralized zone. An additional 8,500 meters of drilling is planned during the summer portion of the drilling program. In addition a geological mapping program has begun concurrently with the drilling to further refine the Double S zone.

The company is also pleased to announce the appointment of John Sutherland as interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Sutherland is a Vancouver-based specialist in corporate finance, resource and growth companies. He was CFO of Arequipa Resources leading up to its acquisition by Barrick Gold for $1.1 billion. He was also a partner in a venture capital company specializing in worldwide marketing ventures and previous to that, Site Manager in building a $110 million gold mine in California. Most recently, Mr. Sutherland was co-founder, Vice-President and CFO of Tekion, Inc., a micro fuel cell developer, and was a key partner in its growth from 4 to 75 employees in less than three years and raising US$18 million for this private company.

Prior to Tekion, Mr. Sutherland was President and CEO of ASC AVCAN Systems Inc., built it into an international operation and was nominated for the Entrepreneur of the Year award. He currently is a Corporate Director of three public companies, one of which is listed on AMEX. Mr. Sutherland is a Certified General Accountant and has a diploma in Operations Management from the B.C. Institute of Technology.
