FIELD PROGRAM PRIORITIZES DRILL TARGETS AT RED LAKE EXTENSION PROPERTY
Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. (TOE: TSX.V) (?Tri Origin? or the ?Company?) is pleased to announce that a field program has been completed at the Company?s Red Lake Extension (?RLX?) property at Red Lake, Ontario. Tri Origin?s field crew conducted geochemical and geological surveying to prioritize gold targets identified by earlier anomalous geophysical and geochemical results. Top priority targets will be further evaluated by Diamond drilling programs expected to commence in fall 2010.
The field program conducted in the western and north-western parts of Tri Origin?s RLX property was successful in locating altered and sulphide-bearing rock as well as iron formation nearby some of the selected targets. However, many of the targets are buried by thick overburden. All of these areas warrant further investigation. An additional 2000 soil and rock samples have been taken and will be analyzed for gold and base metals. Results of the analyses of these samples are awaited. These results will aid in the final ranking of targets for drilling.
RLX is a gold exploration project comprised of approximately 121 square kilometres located at the southeast part of the Red Lake Gold Mining District and 15 kilometres southeast of Goldcorp?s Red Lake mine. The highly prolific Red Lake District hosts several major, operating and past-producing gold mines and has produced over 20 million ounces of gold. The Company?s work continues to validate its hypothesis that RLX is underlain by the important mine trend rock units that host the nearby Red Lake Gold Mine operated by Goldcorp Inc.
The Sky Lake gold Project consists of a 50 square kilometre property located 35 kilometres southwest of Pickle Lake in north-western Ontario. The property covers part of an extensive and well-mineralized greenstone belt and lies midway between the past-producing gold deposits of the 2 million ounce Pickle Lake Gold District to the northeast and the Golden Patricia gold mine to the west.
Tri Origin?s field crew will re-commence its field program in early July to explore and prioritize prospective drill targets at the Company?s recently acquired gold exploration property at Sky Lake located approximately 250 kilometres to the east of RLX near the past-producing Pickle Lake Gold District. The targets at Sky Lake will be further evaluated by Diamond drilling programs expected to commence during winter 2010.
