Mining Area With Greenstone-Style Quartz Veining With Visible Gold
(Confirmed by Assay)
Dear Friends:
Astral has scored a new high with the
announcement of this Joint Venture (JV) with Gold Summit Corporation in the Carolinas. This historic mining area in the Carolina Slate Belt was one of the earliest
gold discoveries in North America, preceding both the California and Klondike
Gold Rush. Modern scientific techniques have ushered in a new era for the
region and Astral is anxious to get rolling on the project
area that takes in part of both North and South Carolina.
Not only is the preliminary geological
work exciting but there are many other advantages to the project. First and
foremost are the people involved. Gold Summit is headed by non other than
Dr. Tony Taylor a very experienced geologist with many years of hands on
exploration experience who is also a Director of Hecla Mining Corporation,
one of North Americas oldest mining companies. The exploration team in the Carolinas is the same technical group behind the Ridgeway Mine discovery in the early
1990s.
Astral is certainly fortunate to have Dr.
Taylor and his experienced team which will operate the JV working with The
Company. Other reasons to be excited is that because the project areas are entirely
on private freehold lands, the entire drilling process should be speeded up
considerably no drill permits are required no land claims issues are
involved and there is a minimum of political and environmental considerations
that have to be met.
The area is also reported to be very
mining friendly and the locals are anxious for the jobs that exploration and
mining might bring to the region. Manfred Kurschner, President of Astral and
Dr. David
Terry, Chief Geologist for the Company, now have another stellar project to
work on, and they now have joined forces with Dr. Taylor and his Gold Summit experts. What a great team! Because of the unique
situation in the Carolinas they are confident that drilling can
begin in as early as 60 days. That is the kind of news we love to hear.
Great work Manfred, David and Tony!!!
Regards,
Nick Nicolaas
