Blackthorn Resources Limited (ASX: BTR) is pleased to provide the following update on activities on the Company's 100% owned Mumbwa Project in Zambia that hosts the flagship Kitumba deposit, as well as other prospective targets including the Kakozhi prospect.

- Drilling to recommence on the Kitumba deposit area
- 5,000m initial campaign with up to three drill rigs targeting infill drilling for potential upgrade of the Mineral Resource to the Measured category and step-out drilling for potential Mineral Resource extension to the north-west
- Pre-feasibility Study (PFS) progressing well
- Encouraging results from initial metallurgical testing
- Pre-feasibility study report expected Q3 CY2013
