Open Pit - Company geologists are continuing a detailed sampling program on the various benches of the past-producing El Creston Pit in order to identify the most favorable areas in which to re-start the Pit, once the crushing program on the heap is completed in early 2009. Samples are being submitted to the ALS Chemex lab in Hermosillo. When lab capacity is available, this work will be performed at the Mine site.
Leaching and Processing - The ADR Plant continues to feed pregnant solution to the carbon columns at a rate of approximately 800 USGPM. Cyanide/caustic stripping of the loaded carbon continued normally with the resulting high-grade pregnant solution reporting to the electrolytic cell. The area of the heap under leach and the corresponding tonnage continues to increase.
Dor Production - The fifth dor pour was undertaken on October 31, resulting in four dor buttons with a gross weight over 1,000 troy ounces. Assays indicated lower gold and higher copper content than from previous pours. Start-up of the SART plant is expected to improve these results.
SART Copper Recovery Plant - Initial recovery of Cu2S copper concentrate has been achieved. Samples have been forwarded to various treatment facilities for assessment.
Permits - Final documentation for the Change of Land Use Permit has been submitted to our environmental consultant in Hermosillo. Work continues to secure a permit to purchase, store and use explosives also an extension to the Water Rights.
Espaol
