There has generally been a positive tone to the markets for the last session of the week, without a lot of data or major releases to push us in either direction. Japan and Hong Kong closed with modest gains, as did Australia. The bond markets overseas are also having modest moves, mostly pushing yields slightly higher, including here in Canada. This is not normal behaviour this bull market (since 09mar09). Bespoke points out returns for Fridays has been anything but stellar.
