      NEW WAVERLY UPDATE -- PRESIDENT INCREASES OWNERSHIP IN HORIZON

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- February 12, 2009 -- Horizon Industries
Ltd. (TSXV:HRZ), is pleased to provide an update on upcoming operations
at the New Waverly Prospect in San Jacinto County, Texas.

The Hammond #1 well, which was placed on line to sales on September 28,
2007 with production from the secondary target sands and shut-in in
October 2008, is being scheduled for well maintenance and perforation
and testing of the primary target sands. This work is anticipated to
commence in the last week of February, 2009.

The Company also announces that its President, Christopher Wensley,
through recent purchases of its stock through the facilities of the TSX
Venture Exchange, has direct beneficial ownership of 2,996,500 shares
of the Company and indirect control of 175,000 shares.  Christopher
Wensley currently directly owns and indirectly controls a total of
3,171,500 shares representing 11.57% of the current issued shares of
the Company.  The above securities were acquired by Mr. Wensley for
investment purposes only.
