ACHESON, Alberta (AP) _ North American Energy Partners Inc. (NOA) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $1.6 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Acheson, Alberta-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share. Losses, adjusted to extinguish debt, came to 4 cents per share.
The heavy construction and mining services company posted revenue of $51.1 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $2.18. A year ago, they were trading at $5.11.
