Delta Receives Approval of Rockgate's Acquisition of Delta Securities

Delta Exploration Inc. ("Delta") is pleased to announce that it received shareholder approval at its annual general and special meeting on January 15, 2009 of the transaction contemplated by the Combination Agreement entered into between Rockgate Capital Corp. ("Rockgate") and Delta dated December 17, 2008 pursuant to which Rockgate has agreed to acquire all of the issued and outstanding securities of Delta (the "Transaction"). The Supreme Court of British Columbia granted a final order approving the Transaction on January 16, 2009. Closing of the Transaction is scheduled to occur on or about January 30, 2009.
