| Sparton Resources Inc. (SRI) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that its secondary uranium recovery program in China was highlighted on the BBC Radio 4's show "You and Yours" on April 15, 2010.
The BBC radio network, based in Great Britain is one of the leading news services in the world. BBC Radio Host Winifred Robinson interviewed Sparton's President Lee Barker along with nuclear waste expert Professor Gordon MacKerron.
Prof. MacKerron, of Sussex University is a leading European authority on radioactive waste and the economics and policy issues of electricity generation, especially nuclear power. He has published and broadcast widely on these subjects. His independent analysis of Sparton's Non-Conventional Uranium Program in China was very positive, indicating that it can have advantages over conventional uranium mining and production, and will also assist in environmental remediation.

At the present time Sparton is the only foreign company permitted to produce uranium from secondary sources in China. Sparton's unique joint venture with the China National Nuclear Corporation to extract uranium from waste coal ash and other forms of waste was also highlighted in the April 8, 2010 issue of the Economist Magazine.
The Company's secondary uranium recovery programs stress the fact that removing radioactive uranium from various forms of waste is environmentally positive. The work is receiving strong support in China from federal provincial and local government agencies. These projects will not only generate new fuel sources for non greenhouse gas producing energy but also provide useful products for recycling into the cement, concrete or filler industries. The Lincang waste ash project in southwest China is at the bulk sample stage and, subject to financing, is expected to progress to final feasibility within the next 12 months.
Sparton Resources Inc. is a Canadian mining and exploration company presently operating a producing germanium mine in China, developing a secondary uranium recovery business in China and Canada, and exploring for gold in northwestern Ontario.
