MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct 7, 2015) - DIOS EXPLORATION (TSX VENTURE:DOS) reports positive section H drilling results 135 m south of HEBERTO discovery Holes A (2.13 g/t Au over 22.9 incl. 4.79 g/t Au /8.65 m) and AA (2 g/t Au over 22 m).
Holes are perpendicular to Heberto structure. Hole H intersected the plurimetric hydrothermal Heberto structure, a potassic (silica-biotite-microcline) altered zone with 1-4% pyrite yielding 3.93 g/t gold /3.35 m (62 m down-hole) or 3.04 g/t Au over 4.35 m. West of hole H, hole HH cuts the same Heberto altered structure assaying 1.94 g/t Au/ 7.75m (at 92 m) including 3.36 g/t Au/ 3.75m. The Heberto structure is N160-180 striking at/or near the diorite-tonalite contact, dipping 40-50 degrees west. In hole H, the whole zone averages 1.884 g/t gold over 7.05 m, at a 50 m vertical depth.
Other sub-parallel metric/plurimetric silicified-biotitized-pyritized (trace-2%) shears in hole H diorite returned 3.46 g/t Au /2.20 m and 1.89 g/t Au/1.0 m.
Farther east occur potassic-altered sheared tonalite with traces-2% pyrite yielding anomalous 0.17 g/t gold /13.50 m, a drill target at depth or in extent, as all these intersected typical altered shears that could be upgraded in extent or at depth; and, interesting biotitized & pyritized (trace-4%) dioritic breccia (0.025 g/t Au /16.75m).
Other metric/plurimetric silicified-biotitized-pyritized (trace-3%) structures/breccias within diorite returned 0.12 g/t Au/8.50 m (shear at 172 m) and 0.22 g/t Au /12.45 m (breccia at 198 m).
Another plurimetric potassic altered shear with tr-2% pyrite occurs in tonalite in hole HHH, west of holes H & HH yielding 0.30 g/t Au /16.35m (at 110 m) incl.1.185 g/t Au /1.0 m, 0.71 g/t Au /1.65m and 0.53 g/t Au /2.0 m near the tonalite/diorite contact . A plurimetric foliated sericitic (+/- biotite, silica) structure hosting 3-15% quartz stringers and tr-2% pyrite returned anomalous 0.11 g/t Au / 11.35 m (144 m) within the diorite that could get richer at depth. Several gold targets need to be drill-tested, as well as splaying.
Core sampling, with usual industry standard quality controls is supervised by Harold Desbiens, M.Sc. Geo, 43-101 Qualified Person and V.P. of DIOS. Samples are 1 m long usually and assayed by Fire Assay Fusion with AAS finish at ALS Minerals, Val d'Or.
