Silver Bay Geophysical Survey Results - Retains Pro-Edge
Consultants Inc. - Closing of Acquisition in Peru - Staking of
Additional Land
======================================================================
Vancouver, B.C., February 08, 2007 - High Ridge Resources Inc. ("High
Ridge") (TSX.V: HRR) has received the results from the surface UTEM3
survey conducted by SJ Geophysics Ltd. on its Silver Bay property,
located 10 km south of Cominco's past producing Bluebell Mine in SE
British Columbia. Two areas were tested, as isolated grids, energized
by separate transmitter loops. The purpose of the survey was to
measure the response from possible mineralised structures, known from
airborne survey and sulphide boulders on the ground, and to evaluate
this response to a significant depth. "Strong conductive responses
were observed in both of the areas surveyed, and certainly warrant
follow-up (geophysical) work and drill testing" (from the report by SJ
Geophysics Ltd., 2007).
High Ridge also announced that, effective February 1, 2007 and subject
to Exchange acceptance, it has retained the investor relations services
of Pro-Edge Consultants Inc. ("Pro-Edge"), a Toronto based firm that
has helped companies expand their market presence in Canada, the U.S.
and Europe since 2001. In exchange for its services, Pro-Edge will
receive Cdn $5,000 per month during the initial 12 month term. High
Ridge has granted options to Pro-Edge to purchase 150,000 shares at Cdn
$.30 each until February 8, 2009, subject to quarterly vesting
provisions required by the TSX Venture Exchange. Options for the
purchase of an additional 100,000 shares of High Ridge will be granted
to Pro-Edge as soon as they become available.
Further to its January 18, 2007 news release announcing a memorandum of
understanding, High Ridge, through its wholly owned subsidiary Minera
High Ridge del Peru S.A. ("Minera High Ridge") is pleased to announce
that the formal option agreement to acquire certain mineral concessions
in central Peru has now been signed. The first contractual payments
have been made. Minera High Ridge is also in the process of staking
additional prospective ground in its current area of interest in Peru.
Further details will be forthcoming.
