WELCOMES MURCHISON’S ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURE
Midwest
Corporation Limited (“Midwest”)
welcomes the additional disclosure published by Murchison Metal Ltd
(“Murchison”) regarding the exploration target at its Jack Hills
Project in the announcement dated 23 November 2007.
In the
announcement, Murchison provided the market with an updated estimate of the
exploration target at its Jack Hills Project of between 143Mt and 222Mt of DSO
ore, and
an
additional 159Mt to 294Mt of beneficiation ore. This compares with Midwest’s exploration target of between 306Mt and
357Mt of DSO ore, excluding any beneficiation
ore, as
disclosed in Midwest’s Target Statement.
Midwest observes that more than half of
the exploration target for Murchison’s Jack Hills Project is made up of
lower in situ grade beneficiation ore. Midwest
is currently working
to
further its understanding of the geological properties of this beneficiation
ore and the implications for the associated capex
charges, processing costs and recoveries.
Midwest looks forward to reviewing
Murchison’s Mineral Resource update expected to be released later this
week which will provide further key information to allow an updated
assessment
of Murchison’s Jack Hills Project.
