These results are from an ongoing mapping and
sampling program at various levels of the underground workings.
Newrange
Gold Corp. (NRG:TSX.V; NRGOF:OTC) announced in a news release that exploration work on the 5570 level of
its Good Hope mine identified structurally controlled, high-grade gold and
silver mineralization. Good Hope is part of Newrange's Pamlico project in
Nevada.
Follow-up underground mapping and channel sampling from accessible mine
workings over a strike length of 24 meters (24m) returned gold grades
averaging 12.48 grams per ton (12.48 g/t) gold and 49.55 g/t silver.
"Importantly, the high-grade zone is contained within a much larger
mineralized envelope more than 142m long and 4–13m wide, comprising
mineralization found in both the hanging wall and foot wall of the high-grade
zone," the release noted. This bigger zone remains open along strike to
the east and to the west.
Also of note, the high-grade zone at the Good Hope mine's 5570 level is
downdip and 36.6m below similar high-grade mineralization previously sampled
on Good Hope's 5690 level.
"We are starting to see a sizable zone of continuous gold-silver
mineralization building at the Good Hope mine," CEO Bob Archer said in
the release. "The underground mapping and sampling program is proving to
be an extremely valuable and cost-effective tool for us to build a 3D model
of the mineralization in advance of drilling it."
The sampling program is about half done, the company noted.
