A few months ago,I was contacted by Nikolaus
Jilch, a journalist with Die Presse, who also
writes for the “In Gold We Trust” report put out by Incrementum, an
asset management firm based in Liechtenstein. The “IGWT Report” is published
once a year at the end of May, in German and English. And this year, for the
first time, it's available in Chinese as well!
Niko said that for years now they’ve wanted to include a chapter on Freegold,
"but always shied away because the topic is so broad.” But for this
year's report, he said they came up with an idea—to ask me if I would do an
interview.
I agreed, and over the course of about four months, he sent me three batches
of question covering a broad range of topics, and I took my time answering
them. I suppose you could call it my longest post ever at more than 50 pages.
They just released the report today, and you can get it for free at the
following link:

And if you found your way here because of the IGWT report, welcome!
You can browse through more than ten years of archives here, and if you would
like to read my more recent posts and join the discussion, I invite you to
subscribe to my private blog, the Freegold Speakeasy. The price is $110 for 6
months, or about 60 cents a day. You can subscribe by clicking on this
link which is also at the top of the sidebar, and my email address can be
found by clicking on my profile in the sidebar.
For the current month of May, I have two new posts up at the Speakeasy, with
more than 540 comments under them. The first, titled "Moneyness 3:
MMT & AOC", sparked a lively discussion about MMT and politics.
And the second, "An Eye for Gold 2", is about "real
things, equal footing, and perpetual appreciation," with the recent record-breaking sale
of Jeff Koons's "Rabbit" as its centerpiece. The Speakeasy has been
going strong for four years now, since I launched it in May of 2015.
Sincerely,
FOFOA
