Late this afternoon credit-card contributions to GATA's year-end fundraising campaign exceeded the $10,000 matching gift offered by Stefan Gleason of Money Metals Exchange, and checks began arriving in the U.S. mail.
Thanks so much to the 126 donors by credit card. Most of them provided their e-mail addresses or their e-mail addresses were already in GATA's address book, so they have received individual acknowledgments of our appreciation. Those who have sent checks will get acknowledgments soon.
But if you have donated and have
not gotten an acknowledgment, it's probably because we could not locate an address for you. In that case, please write to your secretary/treasurer with your address so you can be thanked personally. (My e-mail address is below.) We need to let you know that your encouragement is so important, that even the smallest donations signify that we're not alone against all the money and power in the world.
In coming months GATA's officers will be making presentations at conferences in Vancouver, Singapore, and Hong Kong, among other places, as we strive to break through the blackout imposed by mainstream financial news organizations on the international central bank gold price suppression scheme.
Those of you who have sent contributions will have paid for spreading the word this way as well as through GATA's daily dispatches. You will have paid for maintaining our internet site, for the research of our consultants, for our accountants keeping us out of trouble, and for our lawyers making trouble.
You will have paid to sustain the hope of restoring limited and accountable government, establishing free and transparent markets, and upholding fair dealing among the nations.
Whatever we accomplish, we will have done it only because we had your help. Thank you.
And for those of you who have not yet decided to assist the struggle, our "How to Help" page is still working, and there are still 48 hours to make donations that will qualify for federal tax-exemption in 2017. Please just visit:
