"How
fitting that GATA is holding its fourth international gold conference in
London," GATA Chairman Bill Murphy says. "The former chancellor of
the exchequer, Gordon Brown, and the former head of the foreign exchange and
gold division of the Bank of England, Terry Smeeton,
were inadvertently instrumental in forming GATA's case against the gold
cartel."
Since
the conference is fully booked, GATA will be producing a DVD of the
conference proceedings so that the information gathered at the event can be widely
shared.
About
the Gold Rush 2011 Conference In London, England
Gold
Rush 21, the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee's conference in Dawson City,
Yukon Territory, Canada, in August 2005, brought the world's attention to the
Western central bank gold price suppression scheme. The gold price, then
around $400 per ounce, immediately took off. Six years later gold has
exceeded $1,600 but Western central banks and their agents, the bullion
banks, still obstruct free markets in gold and the other monetary metal,
silver.
GATA
is holding Gold Rush 2011 in London to celebrate what Gold Rush 21
accomplished and to consider where the precious metals might go in free
markets and a reformed world financial system. London is home of two major
perpetrators of the gold price suppression scheme, the Bank of England and
the London Bullion Market Association.
Gold
Rush 2011 will be held at the Savoy Hotel in London from Thursday, August 4,
through Saturday, August 6. Conference details and agenda are posted at www.GATAgoldrush.com.
