BULLION BARS AND COINS

An exciting opportunity exists for investors to acquire a new limited edition gold bullion coin featuring a classic Australian design.

The Australian Kangaroo 2014 1oz Gold Bullion Tribute Coin portrays the iconic Red Kangaroo created a quarter of a century ago for The Perth Mint by Dr Stuart Devlin AO CMG, goldsmith and jeweller to Her Majesty The Queen.

First seen on the Australian Nugget/Kangaroo Gold Coin Series in 1989, it is perhaps most famous as the unforgettable reverse of our 1 Tonne Gold Coin, recognised by Guinness World Records as the largest legal tender coin ever made.

The 1oz Tribute Coin is released today in honour of its gigantic relation’s role in promoting Australian precious metals worldwide, including a tour of Europe starting this month when it will be shown in a number of cities including Vienna and Berlin.

This region represents The Perth Mint’s biggest market and as a consequence the majority of the 1oz Tribute Coin’s 65,000 maximum mintage will be sold through banks and coin dealers in Germany and Austria, as well as the United States where demand for our high-quality bullion minting continues to grow.

Availability In Australia

From today, however, a small allocation of the 1oz Tribute Coin will be available to clients in Australia through our bullion website, on-site Shop and Bullion telephone line. Please order early as Perth Mint stock is expected to sell out quickly.

The 2014 Australian Kangaroo 1oz Gold Bullion Tribute Coin shares an iconic 25 year-old design with our famous 1 Tonne Gold Coin, which will shortly embark on its first European promotional tour.

The Australian Kangaroo 2014 1oz Gold Bullion Tribute Coin, which features a special ‘P25’ mint mark and the inscription ‘1989-2014’, is struck from 99.99% pure gold. Issued a legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Each coin is housed in a protective acrylic capsule.
