As Mike Runge noted earlier, measured inflation is quite low. One factor contributing to this is that most of the inflation, at least during the 90s, was showing up in financial assets. Unlike consumer price inflation, this financial asset price inflation, otherwise known as a "bull market" is welcomed by most if not all. However, inflation will not stay contained in financial assets forever. As Jim Puplava writes, it is starting to leak out into consumer goods and commodities.
