Il me semble au contraire que cet article fait sens. Si j'en ai bien compris les termes, l'UTAH a décidé de supprimer la taxe de 7% sur l'or qui entrave la circulation du métal, et a autorisé l'utilisation du métal, à la valeur nominale frappée, comme monnaie légale de circulation.

Il parait clair que personne n'utilisera cette faculté, une pièce d'or d'une once ne vaut pas 20 dollars. Mais c'est un premier pas. L'or est reconnu comme monnaie dans un état américain. Il me semble impossible que le gouvernement fédéral laisse l'UTAH utiliser l'or comme monnaie, et donc ce moyen, même si il est dénué de toute possibilité d'utilisation pratique, est déjà une brêche dans le monopole de l'utilisation du papier monnaie.

A la vitesse où les digues dudit papier se fendent en ce moment, toute brêche supplémentaire est la bienvenue.
