From what I have read Oz has practically NO GOLD RESERVES. Costello sold most of it.

That leaves gold in the ground and owned by mining companies.
In a crisis the Federal Gov't will nationalise the mining industry.

I do not own any physical metal except kitchen utensils and a few hammers etc and an old car.

BTW when I get to 300 comments I will vanish.
