Two Stars for this Article? What an eloquent expression of the basic cause of the problems we confront today. Yes Neoliberalism not Keynsianism as most think. And both extremes are eerily similar in the real world. The solution is the Middle Way, the Razor's Edge, the Mixed Economy...but that would require the pendulum, the cycle or the wave to stop and hold in midstream. That is not written in the stars - history provides ample evidence. At basis, an individual problem written large by population. One extreme is mentally aberrant or perhaps even evil; the other is that of seers, prophets, artists and thought leaders who have little or no Darwinian inclination. between the extremes, the mass of humanity that vacillates ineffestually between extremes in what appears to be a cyclical or rhythmical fashion, at times benefiting, at others suffering, seemingly unaware or unwilling to seize their own power and the responsibility and struggle that would entail. The best we can do is be aware of where we are at a given time and ride the wave.
