>Peak Oil: Update  - Bob Hoye - Institutional Advisors
Interesting article Bob. I was also expecting references to;
1. Hubbert's Peak Oil theory - where Marion Hubbert predicted in 1956 that oil discovery and production would follow a classic bell curve, with Max production predicted in 1970. He then stated that both would decline over later years because OIL is a finite commodity.

2. Biotic oil theory -- this basically means that OIL and COAL [HYDROCARBONS] originate from fossil fuels - ie these fuels are based upon 'squashed cabbages, pond-life and crushed dinosaurs.' In other words derived from decaying organisms. The flaw with this = Cassini spacecraft recon of Titan, one of Saturn's moons. They discovered huge methane lakes. Nobody is going to convince any sane person that Titan had cabbages, dinosaurs or pond life in such a hostile environment to life-forms.

3. Abiotic oil theory -- whilst the Western oil oligarchs constantly force-fed their Peak Oil theories down our throats, the Soviets had another idea. They drilled down to 33,000 feet in the Ukraine region after extensive research by Nikolai Alexandrovitch Kudryavtsev indicated that oil is NOT dependent upon biotic theory. The Soviets hit the jackpot every time they drilled. Further work including over 250 papers by V. A. Krayushkin cemented the Soviets and now the Russians + Ukrainians as prolific hydrocarbon producers.

4. Final proof -- " Reported in ScienceDaily, researchers at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm have managed to prove that fossils from animals and plants are not necessary for crude oil and natural gas to be generated. The findings are revolutionary since this means, on the one hand, that it will be much easier to find these sources of energy and, on the other hand, that they can be found all over the globe.

"Using our research we can even say where oil could be found in Sweden," says Vladimir Kutcherov, a professor at the Division of Energy Technology at KTH."

Looks like the Titan, Soviet and Swedish evidence proves beyond doubt that Peak Oil and Fossil Fuel theorists are driving the Propaganda Bus to create an image of resource scarcity = thus driving prices higher --> enrich their own pockets. Anything they say is not to trusted!!

Beginning of the headline :"Peak Oil" has been the theory that the US, in particular and the World, in general would run out of oil reserves. Such theories depend upon supply/demand analysis that for centuries market forces have demonstrated as inadequate. The dynamics of financial history move faster than fundamental research can deal with. Peak Oil is not the only example. The "Coal Question" was a serious concern in the 1860s. Growing population and expanding industry made a shortage of coal inevitable. Sta... Read More
