The US needs a new political party that espouses basic values of hard work, personal responsibility, community spirit, clean government etc. Not that such a party would have a hope of getting into office, but it would provide a forum to focus the message and raise awareness amongst the comatose masses. It could provide a mouthpiece for many frustrated, disenchanted citizens who feel their only hope is to leave the country. UKIP is fulfilling this role in England and may end up holding the balance of power. The old Reform party in Canada did something similar then morphed into the Conservative Party and actually got into government.
