Bonjour Graham,
Je viens de lire votre article publié en français par 24h Gold.
Le premier phrase "L’Europe a interdit l’usage de billets de 500 euros", est tres loin de la vérité. Peut être un erreur de traduction ? A ma connaissance Mario Draghi du ECB a annoncé ces derniers jours, que, à partir de 2018 il n'yaura plus de billets de 500 euros d'imprimés.
De ce que j'ai pû lire à droite at à gauche, Je crois que le billet de 500 euros reste un moyen d'échange toute à fait légal, et donc loin d'être "interdit".
La seule actualité est que, à partir de 2018, on ne va plus en imprimer.

I have just read the article accredited to yourself published by 24 hour gold.
The first line reads, in French;
L’Europe a interdit l’usage de billets de 500 euros.
Which in English means "Europe has forbidden the use of 500 euro notes".
This is actually far from the truth. Perhaps something was lost in the translation ??
Mario Draghi of the ECB announced this past week that, as from 2018, the ECB would no longer be printing 500 euro notes.
I think that I am right in saying that 500 euro notes are still legal tender, and thus are far from being forbidden.
According to the ECB the 500 euro note will be honored up until 2018, and thereafter.
The only "news" is that there will be no printing of new notes as of 2018. Kindest regards,
