No mention is made of the electrical inductance of gold and whether it differs from that of coated tungsten. Wrapping a wire around a gold bar many times, passing electricity through the wire that is alternating current at each of several frequencies, and measuring the impedances would perhaps be helpful and is definitely nondestructive and inexpensive. Does anyone know if such measurements are helpful?
