>Bâle III : quand l’or devient un actif Tier I  - Charleston Voice. - Charleston Voice
re gold and bank...one point missed is that there will be lots of pressure on banks to hold government debt rather than gold as tier one assets in support of gov efforts to keep its borrowing rates low in the face of creeping inflation..

ps Warren Buffet comment...

it would be more arcurate to say that gold is dug out of the earth then minted then melted, then put in someones mouth as teeth, then melted then turned into a wedding ring then melted again then turned into an ingot then one day melted again to make something
else......its an unending cycle of recycling going back to the first artifacts manufactured from alluvial deposits thousands of years ago.

come to think of it ,gold is perhaps the most recycled of all commodities.
it might even be termed" green".....seriously
