Jim, you might have more credibility if you got your facts straight:
-Ron Paul has NEVER said that America "deserved" being attacked on 9/11. He said our foreign policy was cited by Osama BL as a reason to attack us. This is fact and part of a CIA report on the 9/11 attack. Most people in Saudi Arabia view US military bases/presence as foreign occupation, much the same way that a Chinese military base in New Mexico would be viewed as foreign occupation by me.
-Ron Paul believes in a strong federal government that stays within the framework of that quaint little document known as "The Constitution". Try reading it sometime, it is quite enlightening. Federal government is to ensure strong/stable monetary policy, strong national defense and enforce fair tariffs (originally the ONLY form of federal income) for trading.
-Iran is no more a threat to US security than Syria, Libya, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea, Kenya or nearly any other country on the planet. China and Russia are about the only two that could mount a serious threat to our borders.

Let's see, Ron Paul served in Congress for 12 years, served in the Air Force, ran for president 3 times and remained a principled voice of conservatism for over 30 years. What are your credentials Jim?
