Je pense qu'au XIII les impots ne servaient uniquement qu'à payer sa protection militaire au près d'un noble donc...point de protection sociale, aides diverses et variées, point d'hopitaux gratuit etc, et donc société extrement inégalitaire. Il y avaient les nobles riches qui vivaient bien et encore, comparé à notre vie moderne c'était plutôt rustique, et les autres, paysans pour la plupart dont les conditions étaient bien pires.
