The project is a joint venture between Denison (60%), Cameco Corp. (30%) and JCU (Canada) Exploration Company, Limited (10%).
Location of the Wheeler River Project
Wheeler River project is located in the Athabasca Basin in Canada. The project is favourably located along strike from the McArthur River deposit and is underlain by many of the same geological features as are present on that producing property.
 
History of the Wheeler River Project
A prime target during the past three years of Denison operated work has been the quartzite ridge, where significant but uneconomic mineralization has been intercepted at a depth of 300 metres on two separate locations along this ridge separated by 600 metres.
